Heroes part 15I went to Jazz’s house like I normally did after school most days. It was like any normal day until it happened. And it happened so suddenly, I was speechless. But this time being speechless was acceptable. I was sitting on her couch when she knelt down on the ground in front of me. Heroes part 14Time sort of flew by at this point. Jazz and I grew closer and closer every day, and it was so exciting. Or at least it was for me. I couldn’t read her expressions well, and since I couldn’t do that, I wished terribly for the ability to read minds. Obviously, I didn’t get that wish granted. I knew she had liked another girl, but I couldn’t tell where I sat on the list. The end of our freshman year was approaching fast. After my last exam I went to Jazz’s house with Stacy. And then the next minute I was shouting out all sorts of excuses. “Mom, everyone here always fights, all we do is fight. And I’m stressed, and that annoying thing you call my brother doesn’t help at all. He makes it worse. But the fighting and all this crap! I can’t handle it!” “Kit this is absurd! Heroes ... part 12My footsteps echoed loudly in the corridors of the school. Up one flight of stairs I went. What would my mom say? Would she hate me? Up a second flight of stairs I went. I wouldn’t be able to handle this, I wasn’t ready for this; but who is ever ready? I opened the door to my classroom, in about forty five minutes I’d know how strong I really was. I handed my history teacher the pass from the psychiatrist. My hands were shaking terribly. Jazz mouthed to me and asked what happened. I shook my head, looked away. &nbsHeroes ... part 12
